AMITE — A ribbon-cutting was held on Wednesday to celebrate a new lunch spot in Amite. 

Pearls & Provisions is housed at The Fitz House—at 114 W. Mulberry St.—and is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. LaShay Bankston first opened the restaurant in early June and the menu features lunch sandwiches as well as Southern specials. 

The ribbon cutting event was held by the Amite City Chamber of Commerce.
