ST. FRANCISVILLE — After a weeks-long search of a secluded St. Francisville property turned up no human remains, the mother of missing woman Madison Allen sat down with the WBRZ Investigative Unit to talk about where the investigation stands.

Lynn Rollins met with West Feliciana Sheriff Bryan Spillman and detectives Tuesday to discuss the next steps in the search for her daughter's remains.

Last week, more than a dozen law enforcement agencies, including the FBI searched the property, which was previously lived on by Thomas Morris, the prime suspect in the disappearances of Madison Allen and Stephanie Hevia. More than 20 areas were dug up over the eight-day search period, but the only remains recovered were animal bones.

"I'm satisfied with what they've done," Rollins said. "They put forth a lot of effort in searching for my daughter and for Stephanie. I believe they searched every inch of the 15 acres that they could search."

Stephanie's family agreed. 

"Of course we wish we had more answers and that Stephanie had been found, but after talking with them today I do feel like they’re doing everything they can and that they’re not giving up on her," Stephanie's sister Lilly Pearly said. 

Though no human remains were found, detectives told Rollins that items of interest were recovered that could move the investigation forward.

"I was not given any specific items, but I was told multiple items were found and sent in to two different labs to be forensically tested," Rollins said.

Rollins also addressed the search of a secondary location, a home on Ash Street previously owned by Morris and the last place Madison was seen alive. Zachary police initially reported "no evidence" was found there, but Rollins says that's not true.

"I know for a fact that items were recovered there and sent in, and false information was given somehow or another when the search was conducted there," Rollins said. "It was stated that no evidence was found, but items were sent in to the labs to be tested."

On Tuesday, Zachary Police Chief Darryl Lawrence corrected his department's original statement, confirming that items possibly connected to Madison were sent to the State Police Crime Lab. 

Rollins said the attention her daughter's case is getting now is 10 times what it was when Madison first went missing in Zachary in 2023.

"When I first reported my daughter missing, I know that the ball was dropped in my daughter's case because it wasn't taken seriously," Rollins said.

Morris is currently held in the West Feliciana jail on an unrelated kidnapping charge. Rollins has a message for him.

"I would hope that he would come forward with where my child is located so I can bring my daughter home to rest in peace and where her three children would know where their mother is at," Rollins said.

Rollins also called on the public to come forward with any information about Madison or Stephanie.

"Someone out there knows something," Rollins said. "Someone knows exactly what happened to my daughter and someone knows exactly where my daughter is."
