PATTERSON - Police in Patterson are looking for information connected to a shooting that left two men injured early Sunday morning. 

Chief Garrett Grogan said that officers heard several gunshots near Martin Luther King Avenue while on patrol shortly before 2:30 a.m. 

Two men who had been shot were taken in private vehicles to hospitals, police said, where both were taken to other medical facilities for further treatment. 

Grogan said both of the victims are in stable condition. 

He added that the situation is not related to the Patterson Homecoming Alumni Picnic, which wrapped up hours before the shooting happened.
