BAKER - Park Ridge Achievement Academy in Baker will be closed Friday due to a spike in COVID cases among students and staff. 

"We are currently experiencing a short cycle of illness moving through the school community. This one-day cancellation will provide an opportunity for students and staff to remain home, help reduce further spread, and allow for additional cleaning and disinfecting of the campus," the Baker School System said. 

Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, but the school asks anyone who is still sick by then to stay home.

The school says the cancellation will not effect the Corporate Work Study Program Draft Day, which will happen at Bethany in the auditorium.
