NEW ROADS — Entergy has informed Pointe Coupee Parish of a planned power outage for necessary maintenance and system improvements.

The scheduled power outage will start Sunday night and end early Monday morning, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., according to parish officials.

Parish officials ask that residents direct questions to Entergy customer service at 1-800-368-3749—the outage is not planned by Pointe Coupee Parish government.

Officials suggest residents charge electronic devices ahead of time and prepare backup power for medical equipment to be ready for potential service interruptions.
