BATON ROUGE — A woman was arrested following a fatal hit-and-run that left a 35-year-old man dead in July.

Robin Taylor, 48, was booked for hit-and-run driving as well as obstruction of justice on Wednesday. She was previously wanted in the death of Travis Barconey, 35, on July 11.

Barconey exited his vehicle on Scenic Highway as the front tire was flat, and was then struck by a passing vehicle, the Baton Rouge Police Department said. He was later pronounced dead on the scene, with the driver of the vehicle fleeing prior to officers' arrival.

An arrest warrant said police learned the vehicle that hit Barconey was registered to Taylor. During the investigation, detectives were contacted by Taylor's attorney.

On Aug. 7, Taylor went to the Baton Rouge Police Headquarters to give a statement; however, after being Mirandized, no statements were provided.
