PLAQUEMINE — The Iberville Parish government has launched a new app to more easily connect residents with local officials.

The app—"My Iberville"—allows residents to submit non-emergency service requests directly, including missed garbage pickups, water leaks, road repairs, damaged signs, overgrown grass and other parish maintenance concerns.

Residents can also upload photos, provide locations and track the progress of requests as parish departments work to address them. The parish added that the new platform also helps departments streamline operations by organizing, assigning and tracking service requests through one centralized system.

"The My Iberville App is another step toward making local government more accessible, responsive, and efficient," Iberville Parish President Chris Daigle said in a statement on Wednesday. "We want our residents to have a convenient way to communicate their concerns while giving our departments the tools they need to better serve our communities."

The app is free and available on both Apple and Android devices.
