WALKER — A Holden man was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash on La. 63 at Weiss Road in Livingston Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.

According to troopers, on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., 40-year-old Louis Gurka of Holden was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry south on La. 63 when he allegedly crossed the centerline, striking a 2019 Hyundai Elantra traveling north head-on. 

Troopers said that Gurka, who was unrestrained, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver and passenger of the Elantra, who were properly restrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

The crash remains under investigation.
