BATON ROUGE — One person was injured following a shooting at the Woodsprings Motel on North Harrell's Ferry Road on Sunday, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Officials said the shooting occurred around 2:05 p.m. following a confrontation between two females in which one of the females sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing.
