NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish deputies arrested a man accused of pulling a driver out of a car, attacking him and stealing his cell phone. 

Deputies said that, on Saturday, 50-year-old Kenneth Bridges allegedly pulled another man out of a car while on Jones Street. Bridges then beat the man up and stole his cell phone, leaving the area before deputies arrived. 

An arrest warrant was obtained for Bridges, and he was arrested at his Jones Street home early Sunday. 

He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on simple battery and simple robbery charges.
