17-year-old accused of firing gun at person performing maintenance on car booked into Assumption jail
BAYOU L'OURSE – A 17-year-old accused of firing multiple shots at a person performing maintenance on his car was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Tuesday.
According to deputies, on April 20, a man was conducting repairs on D'Eros Soto's car at a Bayou L'Ourse home. Deputies said that Soto and the man doing the repairs began arguing, during which Soto threatened the repairman.
D'Eros began driving away and fired three shots from his car.
Two days later, Soto was arrested in Lafourche Parish on local charges.
Several months later, on Tuesday, Soto was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile and illegal use of weapons.
