THIBODAUX - In a camp featuring nearly 1500 high school athletes and 50 college quarterbacks, one NFL QB helped out at the Manning Passing Academy this weekend in Thibodaux.
Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough made the short drive to Nicholls to be a counselor at the camp once again. He helped out when he was in college as well, but according to Archie Manning, coming back as a pro is unique.
"We've never had a former college counselor want to come and coach in our camp with all the high school coaches, so I think Tyler's pretty special, and we're glad to have him," said Manning.
Shough is in a quarterback battle with Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener. The Saints report to training camp on July 22.
