Woman arrested after allegedly stealing computer from Bayou L'Ourse home
BAYOU L’OURSE — A woman was arrested after allegedly burglarizing a home while the owners were out of town, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Felecia Montet Tharp, 50, was arrested on felony charges related to a residential burglary that happened on Ann Street. Deputies noted that Tharp also lives on Ann Street.
Deputies were called to the home Sunday, where the residents told them they left on Oct. 9 and, upon returning Sunday, noticed a desktop computer was missing. The homeowner had surveillance footage showing Tharp entering the home and leaving with the computer.
