AMITE — The Tangipahoa Parish School Board selected the next superintendent to succeed Melissa Stilley, who announced her retirement earlier this year. 

Ronald Genco, the current assistant superintendent of the Tangipahoa Parish School System, was selected. Jamie Cole, a former superintendent in Phoenix, Arizona, was also a finalist.

Stilley's contract extends through January 2027.
