BATON ROUGE - Parts of Southern University lost power Sunday while crews repaired a transformer. 

A message sent out shortly after 6:45 p.m. said that internet and WiFi on campus might also be affected by the intermittent outages. A spokesperson for the university said the outage is not affecting the entire campus. 

WBRZ previously reported that Southern was closed Tuesday due to a campus-wide outage. WBRZ reached out to the university regarding the cause, which it said was still being assessed. 

No information has been provided on when the power will be permanently restored.
