DENHAM SPRINGS - Some Ward 2 Water customers in Denham Springs received discolored water on Wednesday, something the company says was a part of state-recommended preventative maintenance. 

Customers in Denham Springs shared photos of their water, which appeared to be grey. 

The water company said it was undergoing preventative maintenance and inspections. The discoloration began after the storage tank on Linder Road was cleaned and the pumps were restarted. 

Ward 2 Water apologized for the inconvenience to customers and said the Louisiana Department of Health recommends the process for all water systems.
