PLAQUEMINE — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that the second Plaquemine/Sunshine ferry will be out of service on Monday due to mechanical issues. 

Only one ferry will be operating on Monday, with the second ferry resuming service after mechanical issues are addressed. 

Travelers should plan ahead or seek an alternate route.
