More than 300,000 homes and businesses were without power across Louisiana at midday Thursday in the wake of Hurricane Francine. At peak outages, Assumption, Ascension, Terrebonne and St. Mary parishes all had more than 60% of residents without power.

Power has since been restored to most of the areas affected by Francine, but Assumption and Terrebonne parishes remain mostly without power.
