BATON ROUGE — The listing for a home on North Afton Parkway in the Melrose Place neighborhood that was previously criticized for using an AI-generated image has been updated with a more accurate image of the home following a 2 Your Town report from Brittany Weiss.

The updated listing on various real estate platforms, including Redfin, now shows a more accurate image of the home alongside an edited image using AI. The image has a label saying "current photo."

The AI-enhanced image is now labeled as such, saying that the renderings are part of a project completion of renovation plans.

The home has overgrown grass, and construction debris rests in the driveway, which was not accurately reflected in the original listing, which shows a well-maintained lawn with landscaping.

Following Weiss' initial report during WBRZ's 6 p.m. newscast, a realtor told WBRZ that she is aware of the AI and tax situation. She said that the seller is trying to get the building sold to someone who will finish the repair job.
