BATON ROUGE — Louisiana residents have the opportunity to audition for "American Idol" via Zoom. 

Aspiring singers can sign up for a virtual face-to-face audition—the first round of this year's auditions—and receive feedback from producers on a Zoom call. The nationwide search is part of "Idol Across America" and will take place in all 50 states. 

Applicants must request an interview with Rebecca.Taustine@fremantle.com before Sept. 16. Auditions will be held Sept. 23. For more information about audition details, eligibility requirements, submission forms and terms and conditions, applicants can visit the American Idol website.
