Deputies arrest man accused of multiple vehicle break-ins in Denham Springs subdivision
DENHAM SPRINGS — Early Wednesday morning, deputies booked a man wanted on several felony warrants for burglary after he allegedly broke into several cars in a Denham Springs subdivision.
Livingston Parish deputies responded to several reports of vehicle burglaries in the Plantation Garden Homes subdivision on Tuesday. Sheriff Jason Ard said that, when his deputies arrived, a suspect took off running.
A parked vehicle tied to the break-ins was also found nearby behind a closed business. This car led deputies to develop 53-year-old William Lalonde as a suspect. According to deputies, he was wanted in neighboring jurisdictions on multiple other burglary counts.
"Lalonde would soon walk back up to his vehicle and try to leave the area. Instead, our deputies kindly escorted him to our Livingston Parish Detention Center," Ard said.
