LIVINGSTON — A woman was arrested Thursday after deputies say they received a complaint about a dead dog.

Livingston Parish deputies said after receiving the complaint, their investigation showed 37-year-old Krystin Cortez allegedly failed to provide the dog with water and adequate shelter from the heat. 

Krystin Cortez, 37, was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail for aggravated cruelty to animals.
