WALKER - The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office is helping make everyone's Christmas special for the 38th year!

On Friday, deputies hand-delivered thousands of presents to community residents.

It's part of Sheriff Jason Ard's annual Christmas Crusade initiative.

"I'm just glad that this program is in a position as well as myself to bless so many children. We have one goal: to make sure every child in Livingston Parish has a Merry Christmas," Ard said.

Thanks to donations by the public, kids and families in need will be able to celebrate without the financial burden.

"I’m just head over heels doing this. I love helping out and seeing everyone smiling, it’s amazing. Seeing how thankful and appreciative people are, and getting to meet them and hear their stories," Deputy Sydney McCullough said.
