Falon Brown - MMJ/Traffic Specialist
Falon Brown joined the WBRZ team in August 2020 as an apprentice with a fellowship through LSU. In December, she officially joined the team as a Traffic Reporter and Digital Producer, posting articles to the website while learning the ropes of traffic reporting.
Months later, Brown traded her website duties for a camera and began doing stories every day in the community as a Multimedia Journalist.
Falon was born and raised in Prairieville, Louisiana. A St. Amant and LSU alumna, Brown has always had a passion for reporting. ‘Thankfully, I’ve always known what I wanted to do in life. I used to see news reporters on TV and mimic the tone of their voice, daydreaming about growing up to be one.’
Her hobbies include gardening and fashion. She has been featured in a variety of local magazines including fashion spreads in LSU's Legacy Magazine and 225 Baton Rouge.
In May of 2024, Brown was selected by the community for a special issue of 225 Magazine called '20 in their 20s' which highlighted successful young professionals in the capital region. Read here: 225 Baton Rouge 20 In Their 20's
Falon is elated to be a part of the WBRZ family and to serve the Baton Rouge community. ‘My lifelong dreams have become a reality, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the team.’”
