BATON ROUGE — This week is Louisiana Voter Registration Week, and East Baton Rouge Parish Registrar of Voters Steve Raborn encourages voters to check their registration to make sure it's up to date ahead of fall elections. 

The Registrar of Voters Office will conduct voter registration drives Monday through Friday and encourage citizens to register to vote or update their registration online at www.GeauxVote.com or in person at the Registrar of Voters office.

Voter registration drives will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the following East Baton Rouge Parish Public Library branches:

Sept. 21 - Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library – 9200 Bluebonnet Boulevard
Sept. 21 - Scotlandville Branch Library – 7373 Scenic Highway
Sept. 21 - Central Branch Library – 11260 Joor Road
Sept. 22 - Carver Branch Library – 720 Terrace Street
Sept. 22 - Delmont Gardens Branch Library – 3351 Lorraine Street
Sept. 22 - Zachary Branch Library – 1900 Church Street
Sept. 23 - River Center Branch Library – 250 North Boulevard
Sept. 23 - Fairwood Branch Library – 12910 Old Hammond Highway
Sept. 23 - Main Library – 7711 Goodwood Boulevard
Sept. 24 - Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library – 13600 Pride-Port Hudson Road
Sept. 24 - Eden Park Branch Library – 5131 Greenwell Springs Road
Sept. 24 - Jones Creek Regional Branch Library – 6222 Jones Creek Road
Sept. 25 - Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch Library– 11300 Greenwell Springs Road
Sept. 25 - Baker Branch Library – 3501 Groom Road
Sept. 25 - South Branch Library – 2210 Glasgow Avenue

Applicants registering to vote in person should bring valid identification that establishes identity, age and residency. You must submit your current Louisiana driver's license, if you have one, or your birth certificate or other documentation which reasonably and sufficiently establishes your identity, age and residency.

Those without a driver's license, special Louisiana ID or Social Security number may provide a picture ID, a utility bill, payroll check or government document that shows your name and address.

To cast a ballot in the upcoming Nov. 3 election, the last day to register to vote in-person or by mail is Oct. 5; Oct. 13 is the last day to register to vote online through the GeauxVote.com website.

Early Voting will be held Oct. 20 through Oct. 27.
