BATON ROUGE — The 2027 Louisiana Waterfowl Conservation Stamp Competition sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has been won by a Connecticut woman.

The 39th annual contest determines the image on the Louisiana Duck Stamp that will be available starting in June 2027.

Jennifer Reising won the contest for her portrait of a wood duck at rest on the water with cypress trees in the background.

Second place went to Tony Bernard of Scott, Louisiana, and third place went to Buck Spencer of Oregon.

In total, nine of the 16 entries were from Louisiana.

During the last 38 years, about $17 million has been donated from stamp proceeds for wetland conservation.
