BATON ROUGE — A house in a subdivision off Sherwood Forest Boulevard caught fire early Friday morning. 

Firefighters arrived at the Bellglade Drive home around 5:23 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the back of the home. Both of the home's occupants were outside and unharmed when Baton Rouge Fire Department crews arrived. 

Within 15 minutes, crews put out the fire that had begun to spread into the attic, but the rest of the home sustained smoke and water damage. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
