BATON ROUGE — Multiple homes were damaged, and one was destroyed during an early Wednesday morning fire along Badley Road in Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge Fire crews responded to the fire around 5:19 a.m. to find a home fully engulfed in flames. Crews searched the property while fighting the fire and found no one inside.

The fire destroyed the home it started in, and two neighboring homes sustained heat damage, but firefighters were able to contain the damage to the original structure.

BRFD investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
