BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Community College is launching a first-of-its-kind program for the capital area next year.

Enrollment is now open for a new plumbing apprenticeship program launching for the spring 2026 semester.

It's being offered in partnership with the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association of Louisiana. There will be on-the-job training along with classroom work on BRCC's Acadian campus.

Students will also be working in the new Capital City Construction lab at the Mid City campus once development is done.

To finish the program, students will need to complete 222 classroom hours and 3,500 on-the-job training hours.
