BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge School District's JROTC hosted its Patriot Day Color Run/Walk on Saturday at Broadmoor Senior High School. 

Organizers said the event was more than a race; it was an opportunity for the community to come together in reflection, unity and support for youth leadership.

The race featured runners of all ages, with proceeds from the event benefiting JROTC program initiatives and academic scholarships.
