GONZALES — The Ascension Parish government's Department of Transportation is holding a meeting this week regarding the future of the Duplessis Road Safety Widening Project. 

The targeted stakeholder meeting, held in coordination with state transportation officials, will discuss the widening project between Airline Highway and La. 73. 

The meeting will present updated information on the project, including revisions made to the project since the September 2024 public meeting outlining the project. Stakeholders are invited to attend to review the updated project plans, ask questions, and provide comments to project representatives.

The meeting will be in rooms 109 and 110 of the Ascension Parish Government Complex from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
