LAPLACE - An 18-wheeler was blown over along the Bonnet Carré Spillway Bridge on Monday afternoon as severe thunderstorms moved through the area.

WBRZ obtained video of the semi-truck showing the trailer slightly leaning before a forceful gust of wind pushed it over.

According to DOTD's traffic map, the westbound lane of the spillway is closed. No information about injuries or reported recovery time has been reported. 

St. Charles Parish officials said that the 18-wheeler was empty and not hauling anything.
