Southeastern football upsets UL-Monroe for first ever win against FBS opponent
MONROE, La. - Southeastern made some program history against UL-Monroe in week three. For the very first time, the Lions got a win against an FBS opponent as the Lions beat the Warhawks 38-35.
With the Lions leading to start the second half, their defense made the plays needed to keep the lead over ULM. Southeastern collected a pair of interceptions in the second half, one of which was a pick-six by Richard McKneely.
The score by McKneely pushed the lead to 38-19, which ended up being the score that kept Southeastern ahead.

Next week, the Lions head back into conference play to take on Northwestern State. Southeastern's record in Southland play is 0-1 after the Lions' week one loss to Houston Christian.
