Registered Baton Rouge sex offender sexually abused young girl for years, police say
BATON ROUGE — A Baton Rouge man who is a registered sex offender allegedly sexually abused a young girl several times over the course of several years.
According to an arrest affidavit filed by the Baton Rouge Police Department, investigators responded to a hospital on Aug. 13 after a 14-year-old child reported that she had been sexually abused.
The girl told investigators that Trenton Brown Sr., 46, had sexually abused her since June 2020, with the most recent incident happening in July.
She told officers that Brown would sexually abuse her twice a week and give her snacks afterward. On two occasions, the abuse happened while other children were present.
Brown has been on the sex offender registry since 2005, when he was convicted of sexual battery and spent two years in prison. He was previously arrested for carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
BRPD records show the victim made a complaint against Brown in 2024. It did not result in an arrest.
