No. 10 LSU wins final series of regular season over Liberty 9-4
BATON ROUGE - No. 10 LSU Softball finished their regular season on a high note with a 9-4 win over Liberty Saturday night.
The Tigers won the first game of the series Friday night with a score of 4-0. This is LSU's first weekend series win since late March when the Tigers swept Texas A&M.
LSU scored a run in every inning of the game starting with a runner coming home on a bases loaded walk.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, seniors Taylor Pleasants and Karli Petty hit back to back home runs for the Tigers to take a 7-2 lead.
The win was capped off by an RBI double from Hannah Carson to plate Sierra Daniel in the bottom of the sixth inning.
LSU will play for the series sweep Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Tiger Park. The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network+.
