LEXINGTON, Ky. -  For nearly two and a half decades, LSU football has not won a game in Lexington. That streak will continue as LSU struggled once again in the Bluegrass State and lost to Kentucky 35-34 in overtime.

The Tigers had their share of mistakes in the loss, including on special teams when Kentucky wide receiver Brock Coffman had a 55-yard punt-return touchdown.

"If you don't execute, you don't execute," said LSU head coach Lane Kiffin. "The punt return, you got a player there tackling him, and he doesn't tackle him."

Six games into the season, the Tigers sit at 4-2 with an 0-2 record on the road; those losses came at top-10 Ole Miss and now Kentucky. But it really felt like LSU had every chance to get the win against the Wildcats

"We had all kinds of chances to close the game out, win the game and didn't do it," said Kiffin. "You let people hang around at night in the SEC, and that's going to happen."

With two losses, the season is by no means over, but things don't get easier for LSU moving forward. Three of the Tigers' next four games are at home, but all three are against currently ranked opponents.

TIGERS UPCOMING HOME SCHEDULE:

     - 10/27 vs. No. 16 Mississippi State

     - 11/7 vs.  No. 6 Alabama

     - 11/14 vs. No. 7 Texas
