BATON ROUGE - In this day and age of big money in college sports, LSU convincing three high-end defensive linemen from Louisiana to stay in state and play their college ball as Tigers was not only a huge win in the short-term, but is expected to settle the LSU defense for the next couple of years.

Deuce Geralds, Richard Anderson and Lamar Brown have been turning heads at LSU's practices as the youth movement is in full effect during position drills.

That trio have worked their way into the first rotations a number of times in the open periods that the media has been allowed to watch and on Tuesday afternoon head coach Lane Kiffin talked about the rarity that this trio has been able to provide by coming in together to LSU.

"There was a fourth two in there that's doing a really good job, (Trenton) Henderson. But yeah, I don't. I talked to Ed (Orgeron) about that. I was kind of thinking all the places over here have been, even when we've been together or separate, and neither of us has had that, you know," Kiffin said of the high quality and volume of freshmen defensive linemen showing up to campus.

"It's really and really unique to have nowadays because now they're more spread out usually. Where before you could take more numbers, you know, and so maybe then you hit on some and we got that. But it's it's really exciting. All all have a chance to play those three specifically playing a lot, and it's really exciting."
