BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Lottery Corporation has been awarded a Level 2 Certification under the World Lottery Association's Responsible Gaming Framework.

The certification comes after a comprehensive independent assessment of the Lottery's responsible gaming initiatives, including measures to prevent underage participation, identify and mitigate gaming-related risks and educate players and employees on responsible play.

"Achieving WLA Level 2 Certification reflects the seriousness with which we approach our responsibility to the players and communities we serve," Rose Hudson, President of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation, said in a statement Wednesday. "This recognition belongs to every Louisiana Lottery employee and retailer who has helped build a culture of responsible play in Louisiana."

Hudson added that the certification is "a milestone, not a finish line."

"Our next focus is making sure responsible gaming is built into every part of how we operate, from our employees and retailers to how we design and market our games, not limited to a single team or program," Hudson said.
