Double shooting that left one dead believed to be drug-related, police say
BATON ROUGE - Officials say a double shooting occurred early Wednesday morning, leaving one person dead and another wounded.
Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the incident, which took place off McCalop Street and within the 1200 block of Pear Street, around 2:30 a.m.
The person killed was identified as Keandre Wolf, a 24-year-old from Iberville. The injured individual, a 26-year-old man, was discovered lying in the home's driveway.
Officials say both Wolf and the unidentified man were taken to the hospital, where Wolf was declared dead and the man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the shooting was drug-related and say no suspects have been identified at this time.
