BATON ROUGE — The second annual Downtown Showdown between McKinley High and Capitol High is set to take place at Memorial Stadium.

Players, coaches and administrators from both schools held a press conference ahead of the game.

The rivalry between the two schools dates back to 1950. They played every year until 2019 and revived the series last year, with McKinley winning that matchup.

Both coaches spoke about the history of the game during the press conference.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
