ST. GABRIEL — Acadian Ambulance officials said that ambulance crews are responding to a crash along La. 30 in St. Gabriel, resulting in the road being closed between Bayou Paul and La. 74. 

An Acadian spokesperson said that ambulance and AirMed crews responded to the scene, which was first reported around 1 p.m.

Chief Kevin Ambeau told WBRZ that, while he is not in St. Gabriel currently, he has heard that the wreck is "pretty bad."

St. Gabriel officials asked drivers to use La. 75/River Road as an alternate route.
