Addis homeowner arrested after allegedly shooting at juveniles who toilet papered his home
ADDIS — An Addis homeowner was arrested after allegedly shooting at two juveniles who were toilet papering a home they thought was a classmate's.
Addis Police Chief Jason Langlois said police were called to the home on Tuesday night around 9:50 p.m.
Police said that the two juveniles were toilet papering the house before driving away from the home, at which time the owner of the house saw them and allegedly fired one shot in the direction of the car.
No injuries were reported, police said.
"I heard a pop, but I was like, I thought it was fireworks or something," a resident said.
"And then whenever we seen the car, they had a vehicle go come down the road, it was flying. And then never even stopped on the speed bumps and hit this corner on 2 wheels and took off."
In Brusly, police warned that young people running around at night in black clothing and masks could face charges if officers catch them. Police also urged homeowners to call law enforcement before taking matters into their own hands.
