BATON ROUGE - Will Wade continues to add top talent to LSU basketball's 2027 recruiting class.

Five-star point guard Reese Alston announced his commitment to the Tigers on Thursday live on CBS Sports, choosing LSU over Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee and Wichita State.

Alston, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound guard from Second Baptist School in Houston, is ranked No. 9 overall in the 2027 class by 247Sports, the No. 3 point guard, and the top player in Texas.

He is the son of former NBA veteran guard Rafer Alston, who played 11 seasons in the league.

Alston joins five-star guard King Gibson and Ruston standout Ahmad Hudson in Wade's 2027 class.

Gibson committed to LSU earlier this month, while Hudson has been committed to the Tigers since May.

With Alston's commitment, LSU now has three players ranked inside the top 20 nationally by 247Sports committed for 2027.
