One dead, another injured in double shooting on Avis Ave.
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police say one person has died following a late night a double shooting.
The incident was reported in the 9400 block of Avis Avenue just before 11:15 p.m. Both victims were transported to a local hospital.
According to a police spokesperson, the deceased victim was shot multiple times in the torso. He as been identified as 41-year-old Loney Taylor.
The second victim, who was shot in the legs and torso, is expected to survive.
Police have not identified a suspect or motive at this time.
