TANGIPAHOA PARISH - Three are facing charges after threats were reported made at multiple schools in Tangipahoa Parish, including one deemed to be credible by investigators.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, threats were first made on social media Sunday night.

Deputies say 18-year-old student Troy Webber of Amite had threatened to shoot fellow students and faculty at school Monday morning. Investigators found this threat to be credible and arrested Webber, charging him with terrorizing.

An elevated law enforcement presence was reported at the school as deputies took  Webber into custody Monday morning.

The sheriff's office added that a student at another school posted about a threat received from a 17-year-old family member around the same time.

Investigators say the threat, which warned students to stay away from school, originated from another state and no evidence of a direct threat the school was found. A 17-year-old female has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The minor has been charged with terrorizing.

A threat was also reported in Ascension Parish Sunday afternoon. Authorities say the person who made that threat was a former student living outside the state and the situation is now under control.

Authorities did not name the schools involved.
