Suspected drug dealers arrested in separate Ascension Parish busts
ASCENSION PARISH - Deputies have arrested two men on multiple, separate drug charges this week.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, authorities received an anonymous tip stating that a man had been selling drugs out of a residence.
On July 10, investigators executed a search warrant in the 44000 block of Bureau Street. The sheriff's office says an unspecified amount of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, fentanyl, suboxone, and vyvance had been found. Detectives also seized three handguns and $3,500 in cash.
38-year-old Jonathan Beaureau of Sorrento was arrested. He faces multiple charges which include several counts of intent to distribute, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, three counts of illegal carrying of weapons, and possession drug paraphernalia.
In a separate case, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant on July 9 in the 13500 block of Highway 61 in Gonzales.
Officials located approximately 9.9 ounces of methamphetamine, 26 grams of heroin, 14 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, a quantity of suboxone, a digital scale, and a quantity of cash.
39-year-old Sedrick Thompson of Gonzales was arrested on multiple charges of possession with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
