Police arrest 25-year-old tied to deadly North Foster Drive barber shop shooting

BATON ROUGE - Police have confirmed the arrest of a 25-year-old in connection with a February shooting that occurred at a barber shop on North Foster Drive. 

Brandon Turner was arrested Thursday (March 11) for his role in a shooting that left one person dead and three injured at Mitchell Tax and barber shop on N. Foster Drive.

A day after the fatal shooting, on Friday (Feb. 19), officials with the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office identified the deceased victim as 35-year-old Louis Williams, linking his death to a fatal gunshot wound. 

The other three injured individuals were rushed to an area hospital for treatment shortly after the shooting. They are reportedly in serious condition.

According to police, Turner is accused of shooting and killing Williams, and injuring the other three victims.

He was reportedly booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder (3 counts), and illegal use of a weapon.
