WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH- Authorities have located and captured an escaped inmate in Baton Rouge Sunday afternoon.

The Sheriffs office has been searching for 40-year-old Michael Jones since he escaped prison in early November. Jones was taking out the trash at a work-release facility when he reportedly scaled a fence at the site.

Around 2 p.m. Sunday, Jones was captured on Hollywood St. in Baton Rouge by the U.S. Marshal’s Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force.

He will be booked in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison as a fugitive and then transferred to the West Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he will be booked on Simple Escape charges.
